Nouveau Réalisme - Villéglé
From March 28 until July 2 the exhibition ‘Nouveau Réalisme’ ran at the Grand Palais in Paris. This exhibition showed work of prominent contemporary artists, such as Arman, Christo, César, Villeglé, Deschamps, Klein, Rotella and others.
During the show there was a presentation of the book ‘Nuits Blanches’ (White Nights) of the French artist Jacques Villeglé which was published at the occasion of his eightieth birthday. Jacques Villeglé is absolute world class: the Museum for Modern Art (MOMA) in New York calls him one of its two hundred best artists.
Guy Pieters and Emiel Geers did the honours for the company: they presented the first copy of the book to the artist.
At the Grand Palais, another exhibition was held at the same time as ‘Nouveau Réalisme’, namely ‘Art Paris 07’.
