Perfect bound binding line: Müller Corona + PUR

Supplementary to our existing binding line, a second one, a Müller Martini Corona, will be installed. The production of this machine, which manufactures 12 000 books an hour, doubles the capacity of our present binding line.

This machine will be equipped with PUR adhesives. This new way of adhesive binding renders the book the same solid quality as a sewed copy. In practice, this means that catalogues of 200 pages or more on 150 grams paper will be bound with PUR, whereas before they had to be sewn in order to have the same solid binding.

The existing binding line, the Müller Martini Accoro, will be equipped with a book-block feeder, to be used for sewn book-blocks.

Both the new machine and the existing appliance are fitted with a reader for bar codes. Thus, it is impossible to switch quires or to mix different languages.
